Tired of Those Stretch Marks? These Tips Will Help You Erase Them Completely

Stretch marks are lines on the surface of your skin that are slightly discoloured.

At the initial stage, they take on a pale colour but after a while, they become silvery lines on your skin. Stretch marks could appear on your upper arms, breasts, stomach and thighs.

Stretch marks are a kind of scars on the body. However, they do not mean that something is wrong with your health.

What Causes Stretch Marks?

Most people believe that only women can have stretch marks and that it occurs only after pregnancy. These beliefs are wrong. Men can also have stretch marks and many other factors can cause stretch marks apart from pregnancy.

Stretch marks can occur when you suddenly gain or lose weight.

Stretch marks begin from the middle layer of your skin. When you gain weight, the connective tissue in your dermis is expanded beyond normal. When it is stretched beyond its limits, collagen in your body becomes weak and causes lines to appear.

Stretch marks are also caused by hormonal changes. This explains why most pregnant women end up with stretch marks.

Also, a child undergoing puberty might have stretch marks marks because of the hormonal changes too.

Men are not left out. For men that gym a lot, they have the tendency of having stretch marks on their arms. This is because of muscle growth and expansion.
